Located right under a music recording studio, this lounge was designed to be the relaxing waiting room and meeting point for the musicians. This lounge is mostly functioned to support the artist who works til night, also giving space for them to perform live on stage. That's why this lounge should reflect the music production concept; where professionalism & technicality meets creativity and innovation.
Inspired by vintage Chinese bars, this bar combining playful elements like neons, vintage calendars, murals, coloured & textured glass, lucky cats, then rustic elements like bricks, roof tiles, and unfinished concrete, with the a hint of luxury elements such as brass, and jade-green tiles. This is exactly what I wanted to achieve: a play of contrast between mature and fun, order and chaos, and oversaturated colour with rustic & raw.
This lounge should also be comfortable at night. Thats why I mainly use indirect lighting combined with some low hanging lamps to create a warm and welcoming feel.
